I know the ingredients call for a beef chuck roast, but I think it's actually supposed to exist a PORK roast, similar the write up states ("Simple just admittedly succulent cranberry PORK roast!")... I tin't imagine a cranberry sauce with beef, but who knows... I chose pork, since fruit sauces are usually a practiced complement, and it turned out fantastic! My hubby wolfed it down and normally he'due south a very irksome eater... Don't worry about it not having much liquid to brainstorm with-- I stared into my crockpot for quite awhile debating if I needed to add water (my hubby even peered over my shoulder and commented on how dry it looked compared to my other crock pot recipes) just I went on faith and followed the recipe to a T and information technology turned out dandy (the cranberry sauce quickly "melts" and turns into a watery stew for the meat to cook in). Yes, this is a sweet recipe, merely it's sweet like BBQ sauce is sweet (information technology tastes appropriate and not remotely like cranberry sauce-- trust me, I'1000 not a big fan of the stuff)... I'm also non a large fan of pork, but I am a HUGE fan of crock pots and know that otherwise dry out/tough meat Ever turns out fabled in it.... Give this recipe a try-- your tastebuds will thank you for it!

I've been making this for years, my family unit loves it. The concluding iv hours of cooking I add baby carrots and cutting upward potatoes and sprinkle a second handbag of onion soup mix on top of them. This recipe is fabulous!

I thought this might turn out wierd, just had to endeavor it because it seemed and then easy. Information technology was groovy! Information technology doesn't taste similar cranberries (I used a store-brand of cranberry sauce), but formed lots of dainty, brown-type gravy to serve over my garlic-roasted mashed potatoes. I used one fresh 3-lb chuck roast and i .5 lb rump roast (from the freezer) and prefered the rump roast because it wasn't so fat. And so next time, I'd merely do a rump roast instead. I added some babe carrots to the crockpot and those were peachy as well. Luckily I bought ii cans of cranberry sauce and then I tin can make this once again!
01/14/2008
No, it'southward non a error: this is for a beefiness chuck roast (simply feel free to use pork, I estimate). What a revelation! I've made pot roast for years, but would never have guessed that cranberry sauce would produce a dainty browned roast (in a slow cooker!) with such rich gravy. I used h2o and corn starch to thicken the gravy, instead of the butter & flour in the recipe. We had it over egg noodles, only next fourth dimension I'll add quartered potatoes and babe carrots, because I recollect they would go well with this. If so, I would likewise add 1/iv to ane/3 cup of h2o, to produce a little more gravy for cooking the vegetables.

WOW!! What a great recipe!! Kids fifty-fifty loved it. I did non have the dry onion soup mix so I substituted the soup mix with iv tsp beefiness boullion, viii tsp stale onion flakes, ane tsp onion powder and one/4 tsp pepper. I besides added 2 carrots sliced upward. Thanks for the fantastic meal!!
01/18/2007
This was wonderful, dissimilar and sooooooo like shooting fish in a barrel. I used stewing beefiness that I had on hand. I placed the beef in the wearisome cooker and dumped the soup mix in and gave it a quick stir, and then I dumped the can of cranberry sauce on summit, covered and permit it go all twenty-four hour period. I too used whole berry cranberry sauce since thats what I had in my closet. I liked it that mode but the kiddies prefer without the berries and so I volition make information technology that mode adjacent fourth dimension. I served this over egg noodles and it was absolutely amazing! I but couldnt become over how piece of cake this was to make. You really cant get whatever simpler. Thanks and then much for sharing!!!
07/02/2006
This is admittedly the best and easiest slow cooker roast recipe!! I've made it twice, first with beef (arm) roast and 2d fourth dimension with pork loin roast. The arm roast didn't produce plenty liquid so I didn't need to thicken the sauce. In future would use chuck roast because the sauce tasted a little charred since it was slightly thick. The pork roast was awesome!! I thickened the pork juices with corn starch instead of flour/butter, and loved information technology! Used whole berry cranberry sauce both times. Did not add any boosted liquid--but the whole cranberry sauce--and information technology was perfect!
06/05/2009
I made this as written with the exception of choosing to use the ocean spray whole drupe cranberry sauce. I'thou extremely surprised how much juice this created in the crock pot with out adding whatever liquid at all. I did use a beefiness chuck roast but I tin can run across how this would be terrific with pork as well. For those who had trouble with the butter and flour. Its a roux so: In a two cup drinking glass measuring cup melt your butter in the microwave the add flour and mix with fork. Then slowly ladle juice from the crock into the loving cup and mix with fork. It volition thicken almost immediatly. Continue until you have added enough to brand 2 cups making sure your smoothing it with for in between adding liquid. Then add to crock pot, this will ensure your gravy (which is amazing) does non clump. If you choose to utilise cornstarch dissolve cornstarch in water prior to adding to the gravy mixture. I also advise cutting dorsum the cornstarch to 1 tbs and not simply subbing it for the flour as cornstarch thickens at twice the charge per unit of flour.

The flavor of this roast was surprisingly splendid! I was a fleck leery when I read the recipe; but so many people rated it highly that I went ahead and tried it. Information technology was GREAT and my married man snarfed all the leftovers the next day. We will certainly make this again.
10/21/2005
Didn't change a THING! This is FABULOUS! Roast was amazing! Gravy was OUT OF THIS Globe! Served the gravy over the meat and over mashed potatoes. Try this! It's to Die for!
xi/08/2005
This was OK, cipher fabled. I liked the gravy, only information technology was a lilliputian sweet for meat. I recall I would like the gravy on noodles or potatoes, simply not really for meat. Hubby didn't want to endeavour it at showtime, but one time he did he really liked it. I'd make it over again for him, but not for me. (and I love cranberries! go figure....)Made it again, this time I really liked it. I don't know what inverse, but I like it a lot & hubby asks for it oftentimes & I am happy to make it now.
01/thirteen/2011
Smashing recipe! I used beef. Besides added quartered potatoes and carrot chunks about four hours before it was done as one reviewer suggested. Everything was DELICIOUS! I also used cornstarch in a pocket-sized amount of water to thicken instead of the butter and flour. Thanks for the recipe.
11/07/2010
I followed this recipe exactly however my husband and I idea that it was pretty banal ... not sure if I did something wrong merely nosotros will not exist making this once more :( distressing...
11/07/2009
Reicpe was very good not only with a beefiness roast, simply with pork roast, craven breasts and cut upwardly chicken. My family raved about all the cuts of meat and poultry they tried it with.
12/08/2010
Wow, thought this was too good to be truthful. I used a smoked pork shoulder, didnt modify a thing and the gravy was perfect. Mashed potatoes a must take to take total advantage of the gravy. This will be a regular meal in our domicile.
10/27/2005
This roast was fantastic! I used the leftover gravy and made Slow Cooker meatballs the following solar day. I served information technology over a bed of rice and my teenager loved information technology! Very Highly recommended!!
11/09/2009
This was fabulous. I used a 5 1/ii lb pork roast, 2 pkgs of onion soup mix and ane can of jellied cranberry sauce and one tin of whole cranberry sauce, that's all I had in the house. Next time will use only the whole cranberry sauce, although it was perfect this fashion. The pork was fork tender. Didn't thicken the gravy/sauce at all merely spooned it over the sliced pork. This is the only fashion I'll fix a pork roast in the futurity!
eleven/07/2007
This is an awesome recipe for any roast. I take made it with beef and with pork tenderloin and it was equally delicious each fourth dimension. I would recommend putting the cranberry sauce into a bowl and mashing it up before pouring information technology on top.
03/27/2011
Wow....I never would have thought that the combo of ingredients in this recipe went together but they do! So elementary and delicious ..... I used cornstarch and water to thicken the juices instead of butter and flour. Sweet nonetheless savory all at the same fourth dimension. Thank you!
09/28/2005
We loved this recipe. I made it merely as is. I served it with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.
01/26/2011
I made this exactly every bit written and found it a little bland. Both my husband and I thought it was good, but nosotros definitely had to salt our servings. Side by side time I'chiliad going to salt and pepper by roast beforehand to kick up the flavor.
04/xv/2007
I idea this was like shooting fish in a barrel and crawly. We followed the directions to a T and it was great. I served over egg noodles. This made cracking leftovers too.
11/10/2009
I made this for Christmas dinner a couple years ago and it was absolutely fantastic! It is my year for Thanksgiving and this was requested!
04/29/2011
This roast came out pretty good. I did add some mushrooms because I dear them. I likewise added carrots and potatoes, but wont do that once again as I didn't care for the flavor that they absorbed (didn't cistron that into my rating). Plus, they took forever to cook, and then I'll just prepare them separately next time. I also thickened with cornstarch/water in the end. BF liked the meat simply non the gravy, but I liked the gravy a lot. Very uncomplicated meal, I'll keep cranberry sauce on hand for this at present. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
11/thirty/2011
I made this with a venison roast, served over mashed tators. Information technology was fabulous!! And the gravy was cute and just as tasty! Thanks for sharing!!
04/22/2011
I loved the fruity tang that the cranberry sauce gave the meat. Cheers for sharing the recipe because I wouldn't have thought of something like this on my ain!
04/01/2011
Very practiced. Used with a pork roast because that is what I had. Thought the gravy was wonderful especially over mashed potatoes. Volition for sure apply again!
01/nineteen/2006
This was pretty good just i think i volition use a different cut of meat next time. While the meat was flavourful, it was dry which i think has piddling to do with the recipe. Base of operations don other reviews, and the reported sugariness of the gravy, i fabricated mine slightly different. I strained the sauce then put information technology on the stove adding i/2 cup of warm water with corn starch. This thickened nicely and was slightly sugariness only not overpowering. I will try this again for sure.
12/14/2010
This was one of the better slow cooker recipes that I take tried lately. The gravy was the right consistency and had merely a hint of cranberry flavor to information technology. Would make again using other cuts of meat or the round roast which I used to arrive with.
xi/29/2009
I made this with a pork loin because I didn't take all the ingredients to make the Taste of Dwelling house "Deadening Cooker Cranberry Pork" recipe which tin be found on this site. I was disappointed and will not make again.
02/xiii/2012
This recipe was great!! I did non demand to add the butter and flour. I served it with Kluski noodles and the sauce was bang-up on pinnacle! Turned the slow cooker to loftier for iv hours, but I am sure it would have been even more astonishing on low for the total 8 hours. Nosotros ate upwardly the leftovers with a big grinning!! Will definitely make this again.
04/03/2011
Made this recipe yesterday, did not change a thing except used a venison roast. Absolutely succulent moved the recipe straight into my recipe box. Going to try it next week finish with some wild boar my married woman harvested last twelvemonth.
12/14/2010
This was the best thing I've ever put in my oral cavity!!!! followed the recipe exactly except drizzled a picayune bit of oil in the crock pot before calculation the roast and then put some seasoning on pinnacle of roast (garlic pulverisation, seasoning table salt & staek seasoning) YUMMY!!!
02/14/2011
I admittedly dear this recipe. It could non be easier. I, too, add salt and pepper to the roast beforehand. I've likewise fabricated it with a pork loin, but cutting the cooking fourth dimension downward to 7 hours. For added season, I saute some mushrooms and add to the gravy. Thanks Kim for such an like shooting fish in a barrel recipe that produces such great results!
11/08/2010
OMG, this was sooooo expert and sooo easy. I will keep this handy for sure! I was worried near not putting any liquid in it, merely it worked beautifully.
eleven/27/2010
Hubby liked it only said it was not a keeper. I concord, nice to endeavor but not something I'd want to make again.
03/31/2006
I besides was a petty skeptical. Plus, my husband doesn't like roasts, but I make htem anyway because they're easy, and he eats them and but doesn't say anything nigh it. But this ane he said was "Deeeeelicious! Definitely keep that recipe and make it once again!" He never says that nearly Annihilation so I'm giving this one 5 stars merely for his reaction. But I loved it too, especially the gravy which was sugariness just really not cranberry-y.
09/24/2012
And then tender and delicious! I added pocket-size amount of water to get-go, but may not have had too. It was falling completely apart when washed. Yum!
03/31/2011
This was delicious and information technology was also the EASIEST dish to make!
11/twenty/2009
WOW! This was sooo good! Mine didnt fifty-fifty demand thickening and then I didnt do the flour and butter thing. I practice not similar sweet meats and this was right in the middle But perfect. The cranberry came threw on mine. The perfect thing to eat if your peckish thanksgivings or for thanksgiving!! loved this...give thanks you:)
01/21/2011
Fantastic! I love this recipe equally is but accept also made various substitutions according to what nosotros accept on manus. Venison roast was neat! apricot preserves & vegetable soup mix, etc. I arrive a point to attempt to keep cranberry sauce in the pantry now but for this recipe.
03/26/2011
Just okay. The gravy is a flake sweet. Overall information technology'southward just okay. I probaby will not brand this again. At least non the verbal aforementioned way. On a side note if yous are worried most putting just dry onion mix on the lesser, don't exist. The meat really does produce enough juices to make a proficient...but too sweet gravy.
12/04/2008
Like the phone call that others heard, this recipe did whisper, "This sounds like it would exist good with a pork roast." Later on Thanksgiving our modest, "simply the 2 of us" turkey leftovers were gone but, as usual, the sides lingered. Half a tin can of jellied cranberry sauce is ever a challenge to apply. I used a picayune pork tenderloin roast from my freezer I could serve the leftover mashed potatoes and fifty-fifty the cornbread dressing. I started out with the pork mostly frozen, only thawing a bit to remove the vacuum wrap. I did slice the cranberry sauce and lay the slices over the meridian of the roast. It looked prettier loading the crockpot, but 1 lump or slices, if left in the pot undisturbed, the cranberry doesn't really melt. It gets really soft though and is so easily stirred into the onion soup and meat juices in the lesser. I used the whole envelope of onion soup thinking that, with merely ½ cranberry, it wouldn't be as sugariness as some who thought it also much. I idea the onion gravy was very tasty. Kind of tangy, but no i would guess the cranberry add-on. I didn't add together the butter or any thickener at all, it was a pretty overnice sauce / gravy consistency equally it was. I wouldn't purchase cranberry sauce simply to make this recipe over again, as I have other favorite ways of making pork roast, just I'd make it over again with leftover cranberry.
01/15/2012
Fabulous! I made this with a pork butt roast (boneless shoulder, 3 lb). I didn't change annihilation other than the meat and it turned out amazing. My boyfriend raved about it. Equally other reviewers have said, the gravy is sweet, but not unbearable. I really liked the gravy a lot! This recipe is going in my normal rotation!! Try this recipe!! Yous won't be sorry.
10/12/2005
Such an easy recipe and neat tasting. My husband and my kids loved it. The gravy is soooo good.
02/07/2010
Delicious! Will always stock cranberries in my pantry now!
01/03/2012
This is the BEST slow cooker pot roast.I adde iii tbs of cornstarch in place of the flour and butter and the gravy was fantabulous.A definate keeper.
01/10/2010
This was absolutely delicious! The just modify I fabricated was using whole drupe cranberry sauce. I tried the gravy before putting it on the roast and was worried it would be besides sweet, but it went well with the roast. I served this with egg noodles, and adjacent fourth dimension will endeavor mashed potatoes. Edit: I made this once more with pork roast and the beef roast was waaaayyyy better. Likewise sweet with the pork roast. Also, in the concluding hr of cooking, i shredded the roast and put information technology dorsum in, otherwise it would've been dry. I did Non accept to do that with the beef, but the pork. The beefiness was squeamish and juicy. I won't exist making again with pork, only with a beefiness roast. I don't know why everyone makes it with pork.
07/thirteen/2010
this just tasted like roast. nothing special.
xi/08/2009
I fabricated this moose meat and it was wonderful. One of the all-time slower cooker recipes I've encounter, can't wait to brand it once more.
11/29/2009
For me, this combo of flavours is merely wrong! I used beef for this, and in my opinion it completely ruined the flavor of the meat. Perhaps pork roast would be improve, but I don't recall I will be trying it. Very disappointed, as was my husband.
07/31/2006
This is astonishing! I told my brother if he didn't become buy a crockpot today and brand it tommorrow..I will know he must be on drugs. LOL Information technology was so tasty and the gravy is awesome! I used a sirloin roast and flipped it after 5 hrs to keep the top moist. You lot do non need extra liquid..it volition produce Enough. I will definately make this again and once more! Thank you lot so much! edit: I but ate the leftovers for lunch and I retrieve they may have been even amend than yesterday IF that is possible. I really loved this recipe!
03/fifteen/2011
Come's out perfect every time!! Wouldn't change a thing!!
02/09/2010
I have been making this for years and although the ingrediants audio a fiddling strange, it is absolutely delicious! I go out out the butter (I can't tell information technology'due south in there) and add mushrooms and onions. I've also used both pork and beef and recollect both are good. I ordinarily thicken upward the sauce a little scrap and utilise as gravy for mashed potatoes... unbelievable! It doesn't injure that information technology makes your house olfactory property incredible!
03/08/2008
This is a peachy recipe. We've made it several times. We double the cranberry sauce and add together 2 packets of onion soup mix and use the extra gravy over mashed potatoes. Delicious!
01/xviii/2011
This was awesome! And so expert and and so piece of cake! I followed the recipe exactly except I didn't add together the butter to the gravy. I didn't miss it at all. The gravy was a little sweeter than "regular" simply it made it that much more special. The cranberry flavor wasn't overpowering at all. I will definitely be making this over again!
01/24/2011
On the sweet side just tasty.
01/xix/2012
I made this using a pork roast equally another reviewer suggested. It was proficient, merely not great. I'm generally not a fan of dry onion soup mix, but I decided to give this a attempt anyhow. The sauce didn't thicken up well for me and was rather thin. I would make this again if I were pinched for time, considering information technology goes together in about 2 minutes.
12/12/2010
Very Skillful
10/27/2008
This was succulent! I followed the recipe every bit written, only giving the meat a salt and pepper rub before putting it into the crock pot and slicing the cranberry sauce and placing it on the meat. I used a rump roast and it was and then tasty! My husband loved it and wants me to brand it again this time trying it with a pork roast. Nosotros didn't find it too sugariness either.
12/05/2011
Wonderful flavor! I made this with pork loins, which literally fell apart, but that allowed the sauce to cook into the meat even more. Husband said this is a keeper! I did not need the butter/flour at the stop; it was plenty thick enough (I even added a bit of water to give us enough sauce for noodles)
12/07/2011
This, plainly, was really simple to make. We used chuck roast, but someone in the firm cut the roast upwards considering they didn't sympathize the concept of a roast (cough*mom*cough) so I cooked it for just over 5 hours instead of 8. The meat was perfect (no pink, I wouldn't mind it pinkish). The sauce was non sweetness at all for me or those who ate it here. Next time I think I'll use two cans of cranberry sauce instead of i. Still, information technology was delicious and would love to consume the left overs at present instead of getting take out (but I must for a school fundraiser!). I served information technology with mashed potatoes.
11/23/2009
maybe its because i used a venison roast, peradventure i wasn't heavy handed enough with the garlic. I but found the flavour to be lacking and the tartness of the cranberries wasn't every bit plesant as anticipated. i'll try information technology again but it wasn't a favorite.
xi/06/2005
This recipe was so quick, then like shooting fish in a barrel and So succulent!! My entire family loved it - the gravy was awesome on mashed potatos. I used the leftover beefiness and gravy the following day and put it over some egg noodles - that was a large hitting likewise.
10/30/2010
LOVED this recipe! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out wonderful. : ) Will make again!
11/05/2010
The sauce was delicious and not overpowering. All of the flavors compliment one some other nicely! I served it with rice and was very pop.
08/30/2009
I've fabricated this several times - it has a skilful flavor but yous definitely demand to common salt/pepper your meat before calculation cranberry sauce.
04/20/2010
Very tasty - four.five stars there. what puts it over the top is how freaking easy this is!
12/28/2009
All the rave reviews on this recipe convinced me to live on the edge & effort information technology for our holiday dinner – all I tin say is: WIN!! I used 2 pork tenderloin roasts, tied together, rolled the meat in the onion soup mix & sliced the whole cranberry sauce over the top. I turned the roast a couple of times during cooking to be sure that every inch of it had an opportunity to baste in the juices. Everyone at the table [even the cranberry-haters] had only positive things to say virtually the meal [& they weren't just beingness prissy!!]. Non too sweet, non likewise dry, tender, succulent with an over-the-top gourmet feel about it! The kids took the Like shooting fish in a barrel recipe habitation, eager to try it in their new slow-cooker! I definitely wait forward to making this once more in the near future – it'south a no-fail recipe. Thanx so much, kim!
03/11/2007
My whole family loved this recipe! I am not a fan of sweet main dishes and saw that some constitute this too sweet. I thought information technology was a very overnice gustation and not at all as well sweet. I was tired of the aforementioned erstwhile pot roast with a chuck roast and will definitely be throwing this into the rotation. I did use 2 table spoons of cornstarch with enough water to thin it out, rather than the butter and ended up adding a cup of h2o to unthicken the gravy. I served as others suggested with mashed potatoes, which my husband and son generally don't each much of, but did this night. Well worth trying!
03/09/2011
Excellent flavor, and so easy to make!
02/11/2010
I used a rump roast and the meat turned out wonderfully. I couldn't get past the sugariness gravy, though. I actually wasn't a fan of this gravy on mashed potatoes. If you like the combination of sugariness and beefiness, this recipe is great. I probably wouldn't try this again, but do realize it would be to some people's gustatory modality.
03/30/2010
We didn't care for this all that much. The flavours were not then compatible. And nosotros like cranberries in nearly everything. As well, the meat did non tenderize the way we generally like information technology.
12/13/2011
mmm mmm skilful! this makes the all-time tasting gravy ever. and its so easy. I have made this several times with pork shoulder roast and beef. either way you cant go wrong.
05/02/2007
My family loved this!! I was a piffling unsure using cranberry sauce with a beef roast, but it was fantastic! The only thing I did different was I took the gravy and thickened it on the stove with cornstarch and water. My husband likes a thicker gravy. Great recipe!
11/23/2009
I actually didn't care for this, and neither did the hubby. We're both fans of cranberry sauce, but this was too much! All I could taste was the cranberry. In the words of my hubby "This would exist great if yous don't want to taste the meat!" I volition say that information technology looked beautiful and the gravy had a loverly texture... besides bad we didn't care for the flavour.
12/06/2007
"First-class" is what my very picky Hubby had to say about this roast. When he asked what was on superlative and I told him, he said, "Interesting ... in a adept style." I cooked this on high for 4.5 hours and information technology was falling-apart tender. Give thanks YOU for this addition to my roast repertoire!
06/22/2010
Made this once before about 11 years ago. This gets 5 stars on simplicity lone. Sometimes nosotros need something only this simple.
xi/11/2009
much improve the 2d day afterward information technology had time to marinate in the sauce
09/26/2005
My family LOVED this! TY!
08/07/2008
Sooo easy, sooo good! I couldn't believe something that unproblematic would taste so good. The store was out of chuck roast then I used a rump and it turned out great! Thanks for the amazingly unproblematic recipe!
08/05/2010
ive made this 3 times and wvweytime it has been great
01/12/2011
This was WAY better than I expected. Like shooting fish in a barrel and simple, how could it get whatever better.
08/22/2010
I LOVE THIS RECIPE!! the gravy is to die for!! i followed the recipe to a tee and information technology came out perfect! wouldn't modify a thing. it'southward a keeper!
07/15/2005
YUMMY! Don't permit the weird ingredients keep you from trying this. Information technology is really proficient. Nice gravy. A keeper.
02/x/2010
this was fairly decent. i added carrots, parsnips, onion, celery, and potatoes. i poured the soup mix (i used ii packets) over the veggies and stirred. i seasoned the roast w common salt and pepper, and placed information technology on acme of the veggies. then i spread the cranberry sauce (i used two cans) over the top of everything. i also used 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed w ii tbsp cold water to thicken the gravy. it was okay....definitely will employ more herbs next time for a ameliorate ratio of sweet and savory. the gravy was good, but maybe next time i would employ half cranberry sauce and half beef goop instead.
12/25/2011
I used a pork shoulder roast, not beefiness. This was incredibly easy, and though at first information technology seemed similar it would exist dry, and I was worried when the cranberry sauce didn't cook in the first couple hours, merely by the time it was in the slow cooker for the full 8 hours, it turned into a wonderful moist pork roast. Anybody raved about it. Even my picky-eater 10 year old grandson!
07/11/2007
I love this roast. I have fabricated it several times and information technology is great each time. I follow the recipe exactly. No need to make any changes. Just be certain yous accept some potatoes or noodles for the gravy. Yum!
11/16/2009
YUMTASTIC! I used a 3lb chuck roast and followed the recipe to a tee. SO easy ..the meat only melted in the juices and everyone at it upwards. Information technology served 5 adults and 2 toddlers and we had a pocket-size portion left. Not bad! Will make again. :)
02/22/2011
Fabricated this for my mother in law's birthday and she loved it!
eleven/08/2007
I fabricated this a while back and we didn't similar this combination. I won't exist making this one again. However, I do advise the Wearisome Cooker Cranberry Pork...
04/08/2011
This was very very very good. Ive made information technology many times now and each time its great!
11/02/2010
Exceptional recipe. We are a family unit of 6, and then I doubled it and it came out just wonderful. The entire family raved over the gravy. All the roast is gone from one sitting, but I reserved the gravy. I'm going to toss it with some pre-fabricated meatballs and serving over rice for tiffin the next day. Thanks for posting the recipe! It's a keeper!
11/29/2009
Everyone loves this. Likewise skillful with chunks of potatoe and onions put on the bottom first before other ingredient. I've also tried this by using merely nigh 2/iii the onion soup mix on the bottom of the roast and reserving the last 1/3 to mix with the cranberry jelly.
12/03/2009
i did not enjoy this recipe. i had loftier hopes since all the reviews were so adept. i made the recipe as directed and it merely wasn't tastey. i gave it a 2 because my married man (who eats anything) said it was okay but not to make it again.
x/28/2011
I read this and thought yuck those ingredients really don't go well but after reading the reviews idea I accept to try this. I'm lamentable I thought it was just as gross as I imagined. I am glad so many people like it merely information technology really wasn't to our taste and I am really adventurous.
12/28/2010
Very skilful. Next fourth dimension volition try pork instead of beefiness.

I do not similar cranberry sauce (or gravy generally), but really enjoyed this repast (westward/ lots of gravy!) I was hesitant with only calculation the dry out ingredients with the can of cranberry sauce, so I added nearly 1/4 c h2o to the dry onion mix. I do not remember it was needed though...at that place was plenty of liquids once the roast was done (1/4 c wouldn't have been missed). I also added carrots and potatoes at well-nigh one-half fashion through the cooking - came out groovy! Thanks for sharing!!

This was a very skilful recipe! Even my 11 year old ate information technology without complaint. I just made slight changes...I dredged the roast in flour and browned it in some olive oil. I whisked the onion soup mix and i/four cup of sweet vermouth. I used whole cranberry jelly. I did not use the butter simply used some of the drippings to thicken the gravy. I plan to use more cranberries next time!
